Thursday 7-11 – The Beacon Trattoria (a casual Italian-style eatery)

Firstly, a massive THANK YOU to all that came to last weekends garden party, it was such a great day. Our sincere gratitude to all those that entertained, cooked, cleaned and served. We look forward to next year!

So, this week with us…

Thursday 7-11 Pizza Night!
Pizza night is back! Hand made pizzas fresh from the oven and loaded with your favourite toppings. From the bar we have our usual offerings of craft beers and great wines or for something slightly different why not give one of our home brewed spirits a whirl? We have strawberry gin and rhubarb vodka

Saturdays – We are no longer doing brunch on a Saturday however our venue is now available for private hire on these days so if you have an event, a celebration or fancy a private dining evening with your friends, get in touch.

Sunday Lunch 12-4

 This weeks menu is a local roast belly of pork with apple sauce or our favourite nut roast recipe with a wild mushroom sauce. Both served with roasties and seasonal vegetables. Followed by Jumbleberry crumble and cream. Let us know if you’d like to book 01424 431 305.

We are open tonight from 7pm. The kitchen will be dishing out pulled pork or Halloumi with roast squash, roast peppers & chipotle mayo in Brioche buns. Both come with sweet potato wedges, sour cream dip, sauteed peppers and house slaw. From the bar we have our usual great selection of craft beers, wines, ciders and spirits. New in this week is a local pear cider!

Beacon Bake Off

Closing date for the cake competition is fast approaching so if you wish to take part please apply soon! Entrants fee is £5, first prize is £100 and all cakes will be sold during the garden party (7th August) with all proceeds going to the Old Town Preservation Society.

This Thursday sees our very first table tennis tournament! All welcome to take part, although finals may be re-scheduled if numbers are high. Tournament begins at 7.30.

From the kitchen we’ll be serving Firecracker beef & Ratatouille and from the bar our fine selection of craft beers, wines and maybe even a cocktail!

 This weeks menu is Firecracker Beef (pulled brisket) with red onion pickles or a halloumi and roasted veg stack with Harissa. Both served in a warm Brioche bun with hand cut chips.

Goes well with locally made Turners cider!

Local beef & beer with suet crust or cheddar & shallot with fennel seed pastry. Both come with creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Amazing with our new local ale, The Summer Top from the Old Dairy Brewery.

This weeks dessert is our mini pavlova. Home made meringues, freshly whipped cream and fresh berries. YUM
