This weeks roast will be a local lamb with home made condiments or a Nut Roast with our own red onion marmalade (v) (ve), both will be served with roasties and a selection of seasonal vegetables.

AND its really worth it this year, they’re all so good!

Local artist, Mark Daniels has hidden several of his hand made little foxes around the garden for you to find, he makes one every time he spots a fox in real life but the ceramic ones are just as cute.

Saturday 11-6

So, browse the studios, meet the artists and see their wares. Come and check out the colourful paintings that currently adorn the dining room and bar walls by three supreme illustrators. Have a home cooked lunch, a drink from the bar or a slice of one of our home baked cakes. This Saturdays lunch is a roast veg lasagne, a local pork Ragu, fresh salads and local breads, served til 4.

Sunday 11-6

Open Studios continues but lunch on the Sunday is our usual roast. We’ll be serving local beef with Yorkshire pudding or a new dish of vegetarian “Toad-in-the-hole”, both with the classic trimmings. COASTAL CURRENTS!

Our studios will all be open both weekends of the Coastal Currents festival (August 31st & September 1st. Plus September 7th & 8th), you can also catch our latest exhibition by HUT studio which is currently adorning the walls of the bar and main room in a burst of wonderful colour! Our kitchen and bar will also be open both days of both weekends.

This weekend

Saturday – Local lamb Moussaka, Aubergine Parmigiana and a vegan aubergine gratin. All with a fresh green salad and local breads. Plus a selection of our home made cakes!

Sunday Lunch 12-4 (Bar & Studios 11-6)

This week we will be serving up a local roast pork with apple sauce or a vegetarian/vegan Pot Pie. Each served with roasties, seasonal vegetables and a home made gravy.

Dessert is a seasonal fruit crumble with vanilla ice cream or custard.

NEW SHOW!

HUT Exhibition Opening 6pm

Meet illustrators Jay Cover, Jim Stoten and Ben Newman who rented a studio space together here in the Beacon garden which they named ‘The HUT’. To counteract their jobs as commercial artists, the purpose of HUT studio is to create purely analogue visual manifestations with no monetary goal in mind.

The debut exhibition marks one year since HUT studio started and will feature a selection of the paintings and brain mucus on the walls of the Beacon bar and dining room. Come on over to the private view and get your eyeballs bent out of shape.

From the kitchen will be veg chilli, coriander rice, sour cream, cheddar, summer slaw and hand cut tortilla chips (vegan option always available), we also have Butterscotch pudding with fresh cream.

And from the bar, seasonal cocktails, mocktails, beers and wines!

A Feast For Your Eyes & Your Mouths…

Firstly, thanks to those that came to last weekend’s garden party, it was a fantastic afternoon. Special thanks to our team for working so hard to make it happen and also to Snippet & the Hotrocks for playing such a great set. We look forward to hosting again next year!

Thursday Closure

We’ve come to the end of our Thursday evenings now and so will no longer be open. We can, however, still accommodate private parties and events so do get in touch if you’d like to use us for whatever you have planned. Email info@beaconhastings.com

Garden Party 2019

Sunday 12-5

Its that time of year again! The end of Old Town week sees us throw open the gates, shave the lawn, dust off the cocktail glasses and pray for good weather. This year we have live music from local band, Snippet & the Hot Rocks, stalls, tarot reading, kids area and an outdoor cocktail bar. Please note this is the only Sunday of the year where our kitchen doesn’t serve a traditional roast menu, instead we invite you to relax in our picnic orchard and enjoy our take on the Ploughmans lunch. £2 entry (kids go free) with half the proceeds going to the Old Town Preservation Society.

Wednesday 10.30-12

Sprouts returns this week and will run every week throughout the summer holidays. Indoor and outdoor play, creative activities and open bar. Suitable for ages 0-5, all welcome…

Thursday 5-11

We’ve got a Tapas fusion happening on our small plates menu this week: expect things like hand made meatballs, baked chorizo, slow cooked Greek butter beans, greek salad and a grilled apple and Manchego Ciabatta. Fresh cocktails too.

Our Thursdays are the perfect time to come and use the space whilst we are open so please do let us know if you’d like to hold an event here, we’d be happy to host.

Our Annual Garden Party!

August 11th is the day of this years Garden Party, one of our largest events of the year and taking place at the end of Old Town week.

We still have a few places left for anybody wishing to have a stall, please get in touch if you would like to book a place to sell your wares on the day.
