Roast Netherfield pork with home made apple sauce or a layered vegetable pie, stuffed with garlic ricotta (or white bean puree if you choose vegan), spinach, butternut squash and pearl barley. Each roast is served with all the classic trimmings.

This Week With Us…

This week with us, enjoy locally sourced lamb served with minted redcurrant jelly, Butternut Dauphinois (V) or a celeriac topped Pot Pie (Ve), each served with roasties and seasonal vegetables.

Pudding is a choice of a classic Treacle Tart or Sticky Toffee Pudding (Ve).

Beets, Leeks & Onions

Two of our house favourites on the menu this week; local roast chicken with bacon and herb stuffing or a dish that we call Beets, Leeks & Onions which sounds simpler than it is. Our locally sourced beetroot are slow roasted with balsamic glaze and served atop a bed of chickpea mash, comfort food at its finest. But thats not all, this wonderful stack then has sauteed leeks, roast red onion and toasted pine nuts too. Its a total all rounder (and vegan to boot).

Pudding is a good ole crumble & custard.

A Weekly Toddler Playgroup

Its parent led, its creative and we have good coffee. Come and join us every Wednesday morning (10.30-12) to see friendly faces, have a play and join in the weekly themed activities. £2.50 per sprout.

The End Of January

We’re looking forward to Spring, when the weather is warmer, the flowers are in bloom, the vegetables are more varied and our gardens are open. But, its still January.

So, lets enjoy whats best about this time of year…

Happy New Year!

This Sunday we are flinging our doors open once again to kick off 2019 with one of our classic roasts…

From midday onwards we’ll be offering a locally sourced pork with home made apple sauce or our own vegetarian or vegan Nut Roast, each served with roasties, seasonal vegetables and gravy.

Dessert is chocolate sponge with chocolate custard or vegan Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla (dairy free) ice cream.

A little note to say…

Our Thursday evenings will start again in the spring when the weather is good (hopefully) and a new menu has been written (definitely), we will post soon about opening dates and times.

A Big Christmas Sale

Thursday 7-11

Home cooked, locally sourced dishes each week. This Thursday its The Beacon team cooking up spicy lamb meatballs with a home made tomato sauce with an equally delicious vegetarian alternative (we always cater for vegans too) both served up with rice and mixed salads.

Sunday Lunch 12-4

This week we have locally sourced pork (not pictured) or White Nut Roast. Both served with roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables. To begin feeling slightly festive, our dessert this week is a Mince Pie Brownie with Vanilla ice cream.
