Final Fridays…

Before we talk Fridays, heres news on this weeks Thursday Live…

Fridays Fridays Fridays….

Its the final two weeks of Friday evening openings for us here so here’s what we have lined up….

Fridays 28th – The Halloweeny One 5-9pm

A nod to the spooky season; prize for best dressed, devilish cocktails, themed garden scenes, maybe a monster mash and the final session of pizzas from the Garden Kitchen!!

Fridays 4th November – The Guy Fawkes One 5-10pm

Sit round the bonfire with a warming bowl of BBQ beans and a hot potato, sip a mulled cider and later enjoy a small (low noise) fireworks display. More details to follow…

Saturday – Private Hire

Sunday Lunch 12.30-3.30ish

  • Local roast pork, Fairlight Bramley apple sauce
  • Beacon Best Nut Roast (vegetarian and vegan options)
  • Smoked Haddock Gratin

Each main comes with roasties, seasonal vegetables and a home brewed gravy.

Dessert this week is Calvados spiked apple crumble using hand picked fruit from Fairlight or our own garden. Vegan option available.

Necessary Animals, Oh Oh Seven….Lets Get Cosy!

The fire will be lit, the cider mulled, there’ll be warm food and whats more we have entertainment – Come and have a night in with us this week!

Thursday – Bar & Kitchen 6pm (food served til 8)

Friday – Oh Oh Seven 5-10pm

Come and be part of a human juke box, bring your vinyl and join a line up of local DJs or just sit back and enjoy the eclectic mix of tunes whilst sharing an evening with your faves, a wood fired pizza and a mug of our mulled cider!

Saturday – Private Hire

Sunday Lunch 12.30-3.30ish

Starters this week include;

  • Chicken Liver Pate
  • “Faux Gras” – a vegan pate made with mushrooms, beetroot, mixed lentils, toasted walnuts, fresh herbs and a splash of cognac (Even the meat eaters amongst us are impressed)
  • Smoked Mackerel Pate

Mains are all served with roasties, seasonal vegetables and a home brewed gravy…

  • Local beef, fresh Horseradish
  • Beacon Best Nut Roast (v)
  • Vegan chestnut & mushroom Wellington
  • Smoked Haddock Gratin

Dessert this week is a choice of Sticky Toffee Pudding or Apple Crumble (can be vegan)

Kids menu of meat/veggie bangers or mini roast available each week.

Thursdays LIVE Event – 6pm Bar & Kitchen (Food til 8)

NEWSFLASH! (It’s about our Fridays….)

So, the weather has most certainly changed and so we have no choice but to change with it. Please read on for the run down of weekly happenings as we look to the last of the years Friday nights….

7th – Open as usual, wood fired pizza, DJ Dave and a fully stocked bar. 5-10pm

14th – Autumn Clothes Clearance – Expect vintage gems and good ole hand-me-downs. All at reasonable prices. Pizza, cocktails and music to boot!

21st – Oh Oh Seven. Guest Dj’s host a night with this deck takeover. Will you join them to play some of your all time faves? Pizza & bar open of course.

28th – Halloween Special – Details TBC

4th – Guy Fawkes Finale – The Final Friday! Expect warming food round a fire, mulled cider and the unveiling of Mums effigy. What’ll it be this time?

Ahem. One more thing…

To anybody enquiring about Christmas Day opening – We have made the decision to stay closed and clean the bar but please book yourself in soon to our Christmas Sunday Special on December 18th where we will be serving up a festive feast with all the trimmings! Plus home made Sloe Gin, paper hats, mince pies, maybe even a bad dance?

Here’s whats going on up here with us this week. The weather is surely changing but we are continuing to use the gardens provided its dry, we have fires for warmth but you might want to bring an extra layer…or come and enjoy the indoor dining areas of course…

The forecast isn’t looking super but we’ll still be here, the wood fired oven will be lit and serving out fresh pizza, bar open and this week a guest DJ in the form of super neighbour and friend Tim Booth! Come and see, listen, eat and drink….

We are totally embracing apple season! Our crumbles are made fresh on the day and all the apples used are grown either right here on our land or nearby in Fairlight, we spike them with a dash of Calvados which makes this dessert the seasons best pick! Coming soon….Mulled Cider too…

Local legend Frank Moon brings us his Cuban big band – Expect superb sounds! Braziers, Mojitos and maybe even throwing a shape or two…
