Brunch special tomorrow is a fried duck’s egg served with caramelised onions on toasted Pave and bacon…its delicious. But if thats not for you we also have our classic Eggs Benedict/Florentine, toast with home made blackberry jam and even an extra of triple cooked chips…

We’ll be serving freshly baked bread, home made Spanakopita (pictured below) with our own grown spinach, salads and Beacon Blackberry mess…

This fine feast will follow a talk by Emma Davies, who has been sent from the nearby hidden treasure, Walled Nursery in Hawkhurst which holds 13 victorian glasshouses, truly inspiring…

Cos I got a golden ticket!

Well actually, we don’t have any. And that’s because we discreetly handed them all out on August the 11th during the Open Day.

If you picked up any of the flyers that were placed around the art competition voting spot then please check the back for a gold star.

We secretly placed one lucky flyer in amongst each pile of flyers, offering two free places at the event advertised on the flyer. We still don’t know who picked up the lucky flyer for our Walled Garden supper talk on September 6th, or for our Soprano Sunday afternoon tea on 29th September so if its you please get in touch…

…however, here’s the winner of our recent art competition, seen by many at the Open Day

The Beacon’s first Open Art Competition was won by Nigel Ward, from Cranbrook, who painted this image, The Floating Garden, especially for the competition. His second entry, Dream Garden at Villa Paradiso, came second. Thank you to Nigel and to everyone else who entered, and also to everyone who voted.

Just to say…

THANK YOU to all that came to our Open Garden party on Sunday!

We were over whelmed by the attendance, so much so that the Mexican street food and cakes sold out very quickly – sorry to anyone that didn’t get fed, we’ll do better next time and buy in more supplies…

A big thank you to all that came and helped in the tea room, the bar, kids corner, the Mexican street food stall, the painting workshop, art competition and the live music stage (not to mention the clear up)…. all of which were a complete success…
