Please join us for a very special event (afternoon and/or evening) raising funds for a very special local lad, Win, who is off to big school soon and needs a new set of wheels to get him there!
Sundays….
After almost a decade of Sunday roasting, our current team are hanging up their aprons and bidding farewell to the weekly raising of Yorkshire puddings, the 6am cuppa over a sack of spuds, the browning of the meat and the brewing of the gravies.
We’ve loved our Sunday service but it’s time to move on and let the elders put their feet up, although not entirely, there’s still the garden to maintain, the roof to fix and…the grandchildren. Besides, the OAP’s are open to catering the odd roast here or there for private hire.
The Beacon will still be very much available and running for hire; celebrations, music evenings, kitchen takeovers, away days and more…
Our Sunday roasts, however, will run only until the end of July…
14th – Local beef or pork
Cashew nut roast (ve)
Seaside special; smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pate, homegrown potatoes and salad.
21st – Local pork or beef
Cashew nut roast (ve).
28th – Roast chicken, herby stuffing
Cashew nut roast (ve).
As always our mains come with Yorkshire pudding, roasties, seasonal vegetables and a home brewed gravy.
Each week we also include menus for starters, kids and home baked desserts.

Well that is the end of an era with many great Sunday Roasts etc at the Beacon. I will miss that bigtime as it was the best in town in ny humble opinion. So here’s to you Judy and team you served us beautifully. Thank you very much xxx
