A little note about our pre-order system; We buy our meat each week from Netherfield, just near Battle, we visit the farm ourselves and take great care in selecting what’s right for our roasts. It can be tricky to know week by week how much to buy so sometimes calling to book on the day may mean we have already sold out of meat. We will always do our best to ensure we can feed as many of you as we can, providing your ideal choice of dish but if you know you’d like to book in wth us, its best to do so as soon as you can to avoid missing out…Thanks!

Bacon, chestnut & parsnip soup with a garlic and parsley crouton

All of our bread is homemade sourdough
Local topside of beef with fresh Horseradish sauce
Beacon Nut Roast – mixed nuts, vegetables, fresh herbs & cheese (vegan option available) topped with a quinelle of squash puree (v)
Each roast comes with Yorkshire pudding, roasties, a selection of seasonal vegetables and a home brewed gravy.
