A menu with a French twist this week. Expect to find French onion soup with a cheesy crouton, French bean and veg stew with whiting or a home made veg sausage with salsa verde and a side of confit garlic. Pudding is a citron posset. Fully stocked bar, log burner warmth and a merry ole time…

Friday 6-10 Energise Sussex Event

The second night held here by Energise Sussex, this time with Nicholas Royle in conversation with Alex Lockwood on Climate Change, the Anthropocene & language.

    There are so many happenings at The Beacon that I would enjoy, but “This Week at the Beacon” is sent AFTER they have occurred and so is no use to me. Having gathered together 4 friends and telephoned to book, we were told that what we wanted to do had already taken place. Can we have a “what’s on” in advance, please?

  2. Hi Barbara, Sorry to hear you’re receiving our news late. We post the news on a Tuesday or Wednesday every week, as far as I am aware a notification is then sent to you by email but the timing of this I have no control over. This blog post is also posted on Facebook at the same time, as well as Twitter and the news is also on our website. The post above was sent out on the morning of the 22nd, the event took place the following Friday. We also mentioned it within the blog post of the week before…
