Thursday 7-11 Bar & Kitchen
Exhibition by local painter Glenys Jacques continues (for other opening hours, please see our website) this Thursday evening, including an artists talk with music.
Food will be served from 7-9, this weeks menu is a choice of Tacos: slow cooked spiced brisket of local beef or roast pepper & feta with a selection of sides.
Its mulling season! We begin with mulled local cider on offer from our bar Friday-Sunday (while stocks last)
Friday – Black Huts Festival
The fifth annual festival of writing, music & film kicks off this Friday with poetry performance Winter Migrants (Tom Pickard, Maggie O’Sullivan, Nicholas Johnson & John James) starting at 7.30pm. Bar & Kitchen open at 6.

Documentary film maker Colin Still presents his film on seminal American poet Robert Creeley followed by readings from poets Jennifer Dunbar Dorn (over from Denver) & Stuart Montgomery.

Saturday Evening – Black Huts continues – Bar & Kitchen from 6. Entertainment from 7.30.
DESCANT ON RAWTHEY’S MADRIGAL – an evening of poetry, film and music in honour of Northumbrian poet Basil Bunting.
Followed by live music from four piece band Grasscut.
Tickets £10 or £8 concs. Alternatively, tickets to both the afternoon & evening shows can be purchased at £15 or £12 concs.
